SSH Telnet in Website Hosting
If you have a website hosting account with our company and you would like to manage your content remotely using SSH, you can receive SSH access to the account through your Hepsia Control Panel. If your package does not offer this feature by default, you may add it with several mouse clicks from the Upgrades menu. Inside the SSH section of the Control Panel, you will see the host, the port number and the username that you need to use when you connect to the account. You can even choose what password you would like to use, as it does not have to be the same as the one for the account. We have prepared a lot of Help articles in which you can easily find all the commands that you'll be able to use with a shared hosting plan, along with examples of how they're used. Additionally, if SSH access is permitted for your account, you'll be able to establish a Secure FTP (SFTP) connection using a standard client like FileZilla, for example.
SSH Telnet in Semi-dedicated Servers
All our semi-dedicated server accounts provide the possibility to access and manage them through SSH. If the package which you have selected comes with this function by default, you simply have to allow the SSH access feature via the corresponding section of the Hepsia CP. If the function is listed as an optional upgrade, you can quickly add it via the Add Services/Upgrades link in the Hepsia CP and it will be available within a minute. We have a variety of help articles and video tutorials concerning the use of SSH commands to manage your account and an entire list of the commands that you can execute along with a number of examples to give you a better perception of what you could do. If SSH is active, you'll also be able to set up an SFTP connection to the account and to upload files safely through any FTP application that supports the feature.
SSH Telnet in VPS Servers
All our VPS server offers come with SSH access by default, so you shall not have to include any upgrades or enable anything - as soon as the server is set up and you receive its login info, you'll be able to connect using its main IP address and the login credentials which you've chosen throughout the signup procedure. Because the VPS accounts feature full root-level access, there are no restrictions regarding the commands which you may run. Your server shall be isolated from the other ones on the physical machine, so you shall be able to manage pretty much everything via a command line, including server-side software installations and reboots. In this way, you can work with your files, databases and any apps which you install in a fast and safe way.
